I am one of the lucky ones in that I love what I do every day. I work with great people, and God has blessed me with a beautiful wife and three daughters. I have18 years of public accounting experience, 4 years with a Big 4 firm. I have a B.A. from the University of Oklahoma (1997). Obtained my CPA Certificate in the year 2000.

I grew up in a very competitive family, which was a lot of fun until you consider that I am the youngest and the only girl sibling. My two older brothers were very athletic, and I tried to hang with them without much success. We discovered a way to compete at snow skiing, and I finally beat them. 2011 was a year I won’t let them forget!

I met Russ when he was a fresh-faced college grad who was hired at the Big 4 Accounting firm I was working for in OKC. He joined the firm during the busiest part of the year and was assigned to my client. I saw first-hand his adeptness for the profession and what fun he brought to the workplace. I moved on to other opportunities, but Russ called years later and asked if I wanted to join his firm. For me, there was no second thought. All these years later, he’s grown in his accounting and business knowledge; he’s still willing to do what it takes to get the job done, and he’s still fun to work with.

I actually never intended on becoming a CPA, but after graduating college with a finance degree and receiving a phone call about a potential accounting position, thought “what could it hurt,” so here I am. God has blessed my husband and me with two beautiful, intelligent, and athletic children who keep our household busy, but alive and loud! Managing a time-demanding career while being the mother of young children isn’t always easy, but I’m very fortunate to work in a firm that encourages putting God and family first. This allows me to attend every basketball, baseball, soccer, and football game, every cheer and dance event, and every school spelling bee or awards assembly. Life IS a balancing act; fortunately, I enjoy what I do and the people I am around every day!

Accounting is my second career, I joined the practice in 2015 after being in education for eleven years. I took the classes I needed to sit for the CPA exam and passed in early 2018. My husband Jeff and I have two children. We spend all of our free time watching our kids in their numerous activities. I was blessed to have the opportunity to change careers and join the practice, to say I have learned something every day, is an understatement.

Russ once told me that if I knew as much about college football as I did about Nascar, that we would have A LOT more to talk about. Ten years later, I STILL don’t know much about college football, but you can ask Russ ANYTHING about Nascar. I taught him everything he knows.
